From The Get-Go

I started this blog after seeing several others on losing weight playing Wii Sports on the Nintendo Wii. I need to shed at least 20 pounds, so I'm giving it a go.

Where I am now: I weighed in at 228.6 as of last week. I'll weigh myself again today. I'm somewhere between 6' and 6'6" depending on which convenience store I'm walking out of.

What exactly am I doing: I'm commiting to play Wii Sports on my Nintendo Wii for at least 30 minutes a day for five days a week. I started last week on Tuesday, and I was faithful to it all week. Now, you can play Wii Sports by just using your wrist and not moving around much, but that doesn't give you much in the way of exercise. I'm using full arm extension. Now, I'm sticking mostly to tennis and boxing. Boxing is a real workout. I'm using bowling for my cool down at the end of the session.

What else am I doing: Nothing. I changed my diet a bit over a month ago. I honestly can't hardly recall what I was eating before, but I've already revamped my diet and maxed out what I can lose doing that. I was weighing in at 233.8 about a month ago, but I lost a couple of pounds after a few weeks of new eating habits. I have fluctuated up and down over the last few weeks, so it's time to do something more.

I'll update when I weigh myself a little later today. So, here Wii go!
